The beginning and end of the poem should be the most memorable parts. Starting the poem with a line that snatches the attention of your audience is highly imperative. Try to ease your way into the poem as each line becomes more and more complex. A good way to begin the poem is with a greeting such as “ Here is a toast to the two of you” or “ Dear love”. As the poem progresses you'll want to make sure you consider all of your possibilities. Instead of settling on the first thing that comes to mind, be sure to weigh all of your literary options before you decide to add a line to the poem. A four line poem that takes 15 minutes to write will usually be far more memorable than a 40 line poem that takes only 10 minutes to make. Try to make each line just as memorable as the last one.
